It was fill the freezer day last Thanksgiving for Ben Holloway, of Acworth, who killed three big does on his Bartow County farm.

GON subscriber Rick Stanley’s buck hunting ended quickly. These Coffee County bucks were taken during muzzleloader season two days apart. “The 7-point (top photo) was huge, 22 inches wide outside and 200 pounds even,” Rick said. “He was so old his teeth were almost worn all the way down.”

David Brannen, of Montezuma, was white bass and crappie fishing on the Flint River Mar. 28 when he caught this 3-lb., 6-oz. redeye bass, 1 ounce off the current state record.

An opening morning hunt in Dodge County produced this best-ever buck for Diana McCranie, of Eastman.

Richard Brown, of Bonaire, took out this big Houston County hog while hunting over a corn pile on Feb. 16. Richard was shooting his .300 Smith & Wesson M&P 15 (AR15). Yes gun-banners, we use them for hunting.

James “Jaybo” Faulkner, of Gray, with a 10-lb., 2-oz. largemouth he caught at Lake Juliette on March 31.

GON subscriber Randy Richards, of Dallas, with a Meriwether County bass caught on April 14 that couldn’t resist a pumpkinseed Trick Worm fished on a shaky head.

Congrats to Rebecca Spires, of Ashburn, who got her first buck while hunting in Turner County this season.

Torie Hunter, of Baxley, with an Appling County longbeard she killed on May 5. The gobbler had 1 1/8-inch spurs.

Chuck Miller with his Twiggs County alligator from last season. The beast measured 12 feet, 1 inch.

Eatonton’s Gordon McFarland is still killing good bucks at 74. Gordon shot this Hancock County 8-pointer last season on Oct. 27.

Check out the spread on this 13-pointer. Jeff Robertson, of Loganville, shot the buck in Greene County on Nov. 17.

Lilburn’s Jeff Wise hunted through the rain last Nov. 12, and it paid off with this Jasper County 10-pointer.

Phil Robertson and the other Duck Commander folks will be proud. Hunter Reynolds, of Winterville, killed this beaver with his .45 ACP while fishing a farm pond in Oglethorpe County.

Charlton Reynolds, of Climax, with her Seminole County 9-pointer, a buck her boyfriend had named “Willy.” The buck had one eye and was 6 1/2 years old.

Mary Helen Canaday doubled on these Taliaferro County gobblers this season while hunting with Claibourne Darden.

Beautiful setting for a hunting memory! Congrats to Jamie Brown, of Ellijay, who got his first buck last season in Gilmer County during the Dec. 15 snow.

Tony Gavalas (right), of Athens, with guide Al Bassett and a few of the Oconee crappie they caught May 5 while fishing minnows on flats near drop-offs.
