Murray County produced this 190-lb. 7-point buck on opening day of gun season for Micha Johnson, of Chatsworth.

Nikki Vanhorn, of Jonesboro, with an 11-point buck she killed in Fayette County on Nov. 15.

Cate Morton, 18, of Roswell, was hunting with her grandfather, Papa Jack, in Forsyth County when she shot her first buck. Cate used a muzzleloader to down the 8-pointer on Nov. 16.

Billy May, of Norman Park, made a 359-yard shot on this Colquitt County 8-pointer last Nov. 14.

This Meriwether County 9-pointer snort-wheezed on Oct. 30 before offering a shot to Ryan Willis, of Griffin.

After seeing this buck cruising a food plot 100 yards away on Oct. 30, Richard Saturday, of Covington, grunted and brought the Newton County 8-pointer in for a 10-yard shot.

Greg Bertils, of Woodstock, with his Morgan County 9-pointer killed on a 1 1/2-acre food plot last Oct. 24.

After hunting all day and changing locations three times on opening day, Phil Graham, of Sylvania, set up in a creek bed in the thickest stuff he could find. He shot this Jenkins County 8-pointer just before shooting light faded.

Here’s another nice buck taken on opening day of gun season. Jason Crawford, of Colbert, was hunting Oglethorpe County when he shot this 10-pointer.

The dogs had been turned out only 5 minutes when Reba Rackley, of Ellabell, shot this big Bulloch County buck. The 14-pointer weighed 172 pounds.

Melinda Rooks, of Culloden, with a nice bass she caught and released while fishing a farm pond in Lamar County on Feb. 18.

GON subscriber John Brady, of Jefferson, with a 16-lb. striper caught on Lake Lanier the morning of Jan. 26.

Preston Harden sent this picture of a beautiful Hartwell striped bass that hit a 1/8-oz. jig threaded with a Zoom Tiny Fluke. He said linesides were chasing shad in the creeks in late January.

Jeff Fitzpatrick, of Watkinsville, was part of a successful goose hunt in Hall County on Dec. 18.
