Douglas Galbreath, of Richmond Hill, killed this heavy-weight Wilcox County buck on opening day.

It was a good trip to Lake Eufaula last fall for Henry Kelley, of College Park.

Nothing like some small-lake topwater action. Loran Crabtree caught this 3 1/2-pounder while fishing a Fulton County golf course pond.

Springfield’s James Bunch hefts a Savannah River catfish, not an easy task at 41.45 pounds. James caught the cat near Clyo using a cut shad on a bush hook. Also pictured is Kyle Hall.

Josh Hufstetler, of Thomasville, with a super bow-buck from Thomas County. Josh’s proud dad, Marty, said this buck was passed up for several seasons, and it resulted in a velvet trophy for Josh.

The Newton County rutting activity was crazy good on Nov. 2, 1999 when Mike Smith killed this 12-pointer.

Sam Sullivan had a successful opening morning in Treutlen County, taking this 10-pointer. He gave thanks to GON’s Tracking Dog list and Marty Edge, who sent some of his friends to find this deer. “I would never have found this buck without their help!” Sam said.

This Burke County brute was killed by Steven Hendren during the first week of gun season.

Tammy Mason, of Canton, caught and released this 4-lb. spotted bass while fishing a shaky head at Lake Allatoona on May 16 last year.

Rick Stanley downed the Coffee County Swamp Donkey on Nov. 3.
