There is an incredible opportunity coming to Putnam County’s Rock Eagle during the week of July 12-17. Presented by Steve Scruggs and Let’s Get Wild, the Outdoor Wilderness Camp teaches kids about hook-and-bullet type stuff, things not offered at more traditional summer camps.
Steve and his wife Sharon have an amazing God-given ability to share with kids about the importance of hunting, fishing and conservation. This husband-and-wife team travels all over and to date have reached 1.3 million folks since 1992.
Their Outdoor Wilderness Camp is for boys and girls ages 10-13. Kids will participate in canoeing, swimming, fishing, archery, wildlife conservation, survival skills, crafts, insect studies, trapping, tracking, firearm safety and more.
Children will be supervised around the clock by childcare professionals with years of wilderness experience. Steve and his Let’s Get Wild team enforce a 10-1 camper-to-counselor ratio because the children’s safety is their top priority.
The price, which includes lodging, meals, equipment and supplies, prior to June 1 is $425 for the week. After June 1, the price increases to $525.
