Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – July 2020
GON Staff | June 25, 2020
Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.6 feet below full pool. Temp: 80 degrees. Clarity: Clear in the river; light stain in the creeks.
Bass: Tournament angler Dennis Hudson reports, “The bass bite has been slow, but a few can still be caught. The topwater action has been hit or miss. Small buzzbaits and frogs fished early around grass can produce. Pop-Rs and wacky-rigged Trick Worms around the mayflies are a good bet. After the early bite, shaky heads and Ned rigs fished around docks and brushpiles are probably the best bet for getting a few bites. It’s hard to fish after about noon due to all the boat traffic, even on weekdays. Weekends are just horrible right now. Come on winter!”
