Your last chance to apply for a quota turkey hunt on a Georgia WMA is Feb. 15. Before you make your quota-hunt choice and maybe burn some priority points, you should check out the latest harvest and hunting pressure data on these WMAs.

The charts included below in this article show a long list of Georgia WMAs that offered turkey hunting during the spring of 2019, along with each WMA’s gobbler harvest and hunter numbers. We also ranked the best quota and non-quota WMAs, so hunters can really fine tune their turkey plans with this data.

WMAs can differ greatly in the turkey hunting opportunities offered. Some WMAs offer quota hunting only, while others are non-quota and open the entire state season.

Ocmulgee WMA produced this Pulaski County gobbler for David Brown during the 2018 season. David’s public-land bird had 1 1/2-inch spurs and an 11 5/8-inch beard.

A handful of WMAs offer quota hunting during the first part of the season and then have a general hunting season during the second half of the season. Some areas only offer adult/child hunts.
