Lake Eufaula Fishing Report April 2018

GON Staff | March 28, 2018

Eufaula: Level: 1.3 feet below 190 full pool. Temp: Low 60s. Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Guide Sam Williams reports, “The bass are trying to get on the beds, but the cold fronts have them moving back off the banks. Blade baits have done good. With the water so dirty, fan casting spoons has been productive. Some nice bass are coming in the tournaments. Working trashpiles has been producing some fish. Bass fishermen, please help us get the necessary data gathered through the Auburn University DNA study on the 4-lb. and bigger bass. The “Swab A Hog” program will give the information the DNR on both sides of the river are looking for to justify stocking the Florida bass in the river. It will give us faster growing and larger bass in the future. Info is on Alabamachildrensclassic.org. Sign up to fish our tournament in June, and support the children at the hospital and Darby Warrior Support.”
