Lake Burton Fishing Report – November 2007

GON Staff | October 24, 2007

Burton: Level: 0.6 feet below full pool. Temp: 70 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Little River Guide Wes Carlton said the bass are biting well, especially early morning on top and late afternoon off the humps. “Try throwing a Staysee Lucky Craft or a Pencil Popper, or use the faithful drop shot.”

Brown Trout: Wes said fishing for brown trout is improving. “The brown trout are beginning to rise in the water column as the temperature lowers. The bite has been really good early in the morning and a little slower on the evenings. The trout are hitting blue spoons as well as nightcrawlers. The next couple of weeks should prove to be an excellent bite as the water drops into the mid 60s. Try to bring the bait a little more shallow.”
