West Point Lake Crappie Fishing Report – Feb. 28, 2025

GON Staff | February 28, 2025

West Point Crappie Fishing Report Feb. 28, 2025: Guide Payton Caldwell reports, “The bite has been steady but has not broke out into the 100+ fish trips yet. Did a trip this morning, Feb. 28 with my buddy, and we caught about 80 and kept 50 and fished about four hours. Big fish are biting good as the pictures show.
“The water temp was 55-58 degrees, and fish were holding structure in 8 to 15 feet of water. We caught them on several different colors but they were really keying in on a pink and green 1/16-oz. jig. With warmer weather coming, it’s only gonna get better from here. Expect the 100+ fish trips to start happening in the next month or so. For a guide trip, call 678.633.1668.”
