GON subscriber Dustin Stansell, of Calhoun, with a nice largemouth bass that he caught in a Calhoun County pond last summer.

Roy Griggs, of Ludowici, had a great opening weekend last turkey season at Big Bog Hunting Club in Long County. Here’s one of two gobblers he killed. They had beards of 11 and 9 1/2 inches, and 1 3/16- and 1 1/8-inch spurs.

“This is the result of nine years of habitat development and trigger control allowing bucks to develop,” said Tom Cotton after killing this 140-class buck in Oconee County last Nov. 17. “I was lucky to have chosen the right tree on the right day,” he added. The buck responded to an estrus bleat can.

This super 12-point buck was killed in Pierce County last Nov. 8. Adam Wiggins, of Callahan, Fla., shot the buck as it was slipping through thick cover.

Here’s another big catfish from Lake Oconee! This 52-lb. blue cat was caught July 10 by Capt. Ron Johns, of Harrison.

An after-school hunt last Nov. 10 produced this Meriwether County 9-point buck for Avery Simpson, of Sharpsburg.

Spotted bass aren’t a common catch yet in Lake Sinclair, especially toads like this. Barry Jones caught this 3.85-lb. spot in May.

Amanda Callaway, of Molena, shot this Upson County 6-pointer last Nov. 7 while hunting on the ground.

GON subscriber Derrick Norton, of Eastville, shot this 140-lb. sow on Aug. 6 in Elbert County.
