GREAT BERNESE PUPS FOR ADOPTION

We recently had a Litter of a Special Hybrid Breed – Great Pyrenees with a Bernese Mountain Dog. “THE GREAT BERNESE”.

First we must say that we Bred this Hybrid Breed for Cassie to have at least one Litter before we Spay her and we wanted to have some puppies that we are going to “GIFT” to qualified Combat Veterans and the rest of the Litter will have an Adoption Fee.

The Great Bernese is a large, intelligent, and loyal combination of a Great Pyrenees and Bernese Mountain Dog popular with pet owners who are looking for a companion animal that is both gentle and reliable. Bernese Mountain Dogs hail from the Swiss Alps and were bred as working dogs to be used for cart-pulling and herding cattle.
The Great Pyrenees was utilized in mountainous southwestern Europe to guard sheep and other livestock on steep mountainsides. Together, these breeds create the Great Bernese featuring the best qualities inherited from both parents.

The Great Bernese Hybrid Breed is to produce puppies that have a longer life span than Bernese Mountain Dogs and do not roam like the Great Pyrenees. Because they are a hybrid, they experience “hybrid vigor” which simply means they tend to be healthier than the individual breeds. But all puppies are individuals and we do not guarantee any specific traits.
Great Bernese are very beautiful, large dogs. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years. They typically weigh 70 – 115 pounds. They are very active and require exercise. They love playing outside – especially in colder weather. They also require regular grooming.
Great Pyrenees are protectors and tend to bark a lot. The “Great Bernese” cross tend to bark less, but barking tendency is very dependent on the individual dog and how it is raised.

When Cross Breeding these two fine Caines you come up with the BEST of Both Worlds as far as family/animal protectors and GREAT Companions. Their color is a mixed bag between the two breeds-Black/White/Rust. These pups were born with the Trademark of the Great Pyrenees “Rear Double Dew Claws”.
Pups are changing daily as far as color, but not the original markings they stay the same. The pups were born “Black & White” with the markings. Now as they get older the “Black” is changing to “Rust” in some areas. There is going to be some mix of color! Going to be some beautiful PUPS. The thing is that their “Coats” don’t develop until 9-12 months. I would imagine that these Great Bernese will have a combo of Pyrenees’ Long Thick Coat with the Bernese Curley Wire Shiney Coat.

Let’s take a closer look at the majestic Great Bernese dog breed: What they look like, their exercise needs, personality, training recommendations, and grooming tips.

Characteristics:
Just like their parents, a Great Bernese puppy for sale will grow to be an large canine. They have dark, almond-shaped eyes which give them an adorable yet regal look. Their sturdy bodies consist of powerful muscles under all that fluffy fur.
The Great Bernese has a thick, straight-haired double coat with long fur on its head, neck, and legs. Thanks to genetics, a Great Bernese can come in a variety of colors and patterns. Great Bernese puppies for adoption can be white, black, tan, brown, beige, or red, often in a tricolor pattern, with white patches on the chest and feet. They have triangular ears and a large, plumed tail.
A Great Bernese puppy for adoption will grow up to stand 24-28 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh 85-115 pounds when fully grown. It’s a good idea to look to the parents to have an idea of what the anticipated adult weight of a Great Bernese puppy for adoption will be.

The “Great Bernese” is a cross between the Great Pyrenees and the Bernese Mountain Dog. They are not a recognized or registerable AKC breed. Both the Pyrenees and Bernese have earned the nickname “Gentle Giant”. And Great Bernese dogs, as a cross between these two incredible breeds, likewise make wonderful family dogs and many make great livestock guardian dogs as well.

Great Bernese puppies for adoption are incredibly loyal animals that will form strong bonds with their owners quickly. They love being around people and get along well with other animals.
Great Bernese puppy owners will tell you that they are stoic, calm, docile dogs that are amazing around children. They are laid-back and like to observe what’s around them rather than jump right in the middle of the action.
