The 2024 GON Coyote Cull is off and rolling as hunters and trappers step up to the plate to kill song dogs in an effort to save fawns and turkey poults.

Listed below are all the entries of those who have found success and taken a photo with their June 2024 issue of GON. We’ll update this list throughout the contest.

Laura Brown, of Carrollton, with a coyote from July 5.

FLOYD CO.

Zack Cheek said the temps finally dropped enough for him to hit the woods. He reports that a freshly built .243 rifle found its first blood.

 

HABERSHAM CO.

Travis Harris, of Clarkesville.

 

HALL CO.

Tom Smith, of Oakwood, said, “My buddy Zack Lathem and I started celebrating Independence Day by coyote hunting July 3 into July 4. On our last set of the night, I shot these three coyotes while Zack worked his magic calling them in. The male on the far left weighed in at 43.4 pounds!

Tony James, of Sparta, trapped this coyote.

 

HART CO.

Travis Ballard, of Bowersville.

 

JASPER CO.

Dustin Kerbow, of Shady Dale, with four coyotes killed with a shotgun on July 12.

 

LINCOLN CO.

Alex Garcia, of Lincolnton, with a coyote taken while his family was cleaning limbs from a fence line on July 14. He is pictured with his wife Julie and daughters Macy, Olivia and Hyland.

 

MITCHELL CO.

Joseph Parker, of Newton.

 

MONROE CO.

Rocky Malone, of Forsyth.

 

TOWNS CO.

Jeff Youngblood, of Hiawassee, has killed several pups near a den site.

 

TREUTLEN CO.

Ken Ricks, of Adrian.

 

TROUP CO.

Nate Moore on July 6.

 

UPSON CO.

This coyote was killed by Darrell Hudson on July 12.

 

WALTON CO.

Wesley Terrell with a coyote from July 2.

 

WARE CO.

Ron Rozier with a mature female coyote killed in a dove field. He set up without using a call, just knowing based on trail-camera photos that coyotes had been visiting the field.

 

WHITFIELD CO.

Keith Swinford, of Cohutta.

Nathan Fennell, of Dalton.

Cline Souther, of Dalton, killed this large male on July 10.

 

WILKES CO.
