Hunt Story
Was hunting with a buddy who is new to hunting. Took him to the stand and told him to shoot a doe if he saw anything. I hunted a stand that was relatively close so I could be near my friend. He texted me and stated multiple does crossed the bottom. I had two does come out of the bottomland into the clearcut about 200 yards away. I watched them for about 30 minutes. I decided to shoot the big doe and dropped her. I was on the phone with my dad in the stand and looked back to where the doe was about 10 minutes later and this big boy was standing about 10 yards behind her appearing to stare at her. I put the crosshairs on him and dropped him as well. It was completely unexpected and we had not seen this deer this year.
