Hunt Story

I got in the stand about 4pm and was able to let the woods settle down. I had been getting steady trail cam pictures of him daylighting a few days prior. I was confident in my stand location but was a little iffy about wind direction but it's hard to adjust too much on 11 acres, so I settled in. There was not much activity and it was starting to get dark, my hopes were diminishing. At exactly 5:26 I looked down the him and could just see his white nose back in the privet at about 75 yards, I glassed him real quick to verify that it was him. he took about 2-3 minutes to come up the hill checking the wind the whole way to 21 yards out from me. after ranging him I settled my pin into his ribcage and let the arrow fly. Immediately I saw blood coming out both sides of him indicating a clean pass through. he ran about 50 yards before expiring. I was able to watch him fall within sight.
