Hunt Story
We got in early on the bow opener because we had a couple of nice bucks my dad wanted me to get. It was hot and the light wind was swirling and towards where we thought they would come to. He came trotting in and we got ready. He was about to give us a shot, but a doe behind us started blowing. He went a little farther then decided to trot back from where he came. We quickly repositioned and were able to grunt stop him at the only open lane 40 yards away. The shot hit his shoulder blade so there were no exit hole. We followed a faint blood trail where we knew he had ran and found him 140 yards away. My first buck after hunting five years and it was our target velvet buck that we had on camera. What an awesome way to start the season.
