Hunt Story

This deer means far more than I could put into words other than a tremendous blessing. I’d been watching watching this buck for the past couple of years from the stand and from cameras, and this year I knew would be the year I would let him reach the top of my hit list. I called this buck Mr. Crabs due to his dual crab claw brow tines. He disappeared the 18th of August never to be seen again, but on Christmas night as I was attending a family gathering I looked down at my phone with a notification from my Spartan camera that a new big 10 was standing 15 yards from my stand on the edge of the field, so I knew exactly what I was doing the evening of the 26th. On the 26th in the stand for hours with no action until I hear steps coming through the thicket, and there he was after being gone since August he reappeared and gave me a 15-yard quartering away shot leading to a maximum of a 100 yards track. Blessed beyond measure to take my biggest buck to date with a bow.
