Hunt Story
This big boy walked out of the woods around 6:30. He was fairly far away, so we waited until he came closer for a better shot. After about 15 minutes of just standing and eating, he started to make his way across the field, lured in by a doe. This gave me a great shot, and Dad gave me the go. I was shaking like it was -20 degrees at this point. I put my crosshairs on him and was about to pull the trigger, when he turned around with his head toward us. After 5 more trembling minutes, he turned broadside again and I slowly squeezed the trigger. Boom! I fired and the buck immediately fell like a rock.
