Hunt Story

Will was picked to go on a 30-30 ministries hunt in Early County the weekend of Jan 11-12, 2020. He and his brother in law Kyle Black and Sister Logan Black were in a box stand over looking a food plot on one side and a cotton field on other. Will was using his grandfather's Remington 270 that was bought in 1987 to take Will's dad, Billy Cope hunting when he was a kid. This rifle had never shot a deer until now. The deer came into the food plot and slowly walked across. Will shot the deer, and the buck went 30 yards before falling in the food plot. They thought the deer was an old deer the way it slowly walked into the food plot but later discovered an injury to its neck from a fight with another buck. The deer's meat was not able to be processed but Will had a great time with his sister and brother in law. Will would like to give a big thanks to 30-30 Ministries for the opportunity.
