Hunt Story
On the way to my stand I bumped a few deer. Got to my stand right around 7:15. Didn't see anything until 9:30. Saw three does walking up the ridge I was facing. It seemed like they were being pushed around by a buck by they way they were moving. Then I had two does come in and feed on some acorns. As they were walking off, I heard something under my stand. I looked down to see another doe making her way to the others. About 15 minutes later I happen to glance up at the top of the ridge, and I see a buck headed toward the other side of the ridge. I grunted at him, and he looked my way, then looked away. I then decided to try a snort wheeze. That fired him up. He came almost directly to my stand. He turned broadside at 20 yards. I shot him with 00 buckshot, he dropped to the ground. Thankful that the Lord gives me these opportunities.
