Hunt Story
I’ve had pictures of the Big 9 since early September, but it’s been a cat/mouse game. On a cold December 31st morning I was in the Madison Co tree at 6:30. He first came through and fed from a gravity feeder around 6:45, but I couldn’t ID and he left seconds later. At 7:25 I heard what I thought were squirrels chasing in a tree nearby but then heard the ground and leaves being thrown. Grabbed the Bow and he stepped out from behind a big Holly Tree near another scrape where my Spypoint camera is located. I drew back but didn’t want to chance hitting a limb so I let down. I watched as he stirred around for another few minutes and walked away. He then circled back towards the feeder at only 20 yards and wind blowing his direction, I knew this was my shot as he didn’t have a clue! At 7:39, as he grabbed another bite of corn I made a Perfect double lung pass through with my Bowtech Realm, arrow tipped with a two-blade Rage and he fell 70 yards away, in sight!
