Hunt Story
I have watched this deer all summer feeding in a kudzu patch that joins my neighbor's property. I also set up a trail camera and got several pictures of this deer in the dark and daylight. From the pictures, I realized that this buck was a perfect 10-pointer, and I hoped to harvest him during the season. On Friday, November 6th at 11:00 a.m., I witnessed a doe in the creek bottom from my stand. While trying to observe the doe, I looked back and a buck was 30 yards behind her. I had no idea where this buck came from. It was like he appeared. I saw the long tines and knew he was a shooter. Crosshairs and a trigger pull later, I shot and he ran 60 yards and fell over. When I walked up to the buck, I was ecstatic to see that it was the perfect 10-pointer that I watched all summer. I have been longing to harvest a perfect 10-pointer for the past 39 years. My dream finally came true.
