Hunt Story
The previous Friday afternoon hunt Walker and his Papa had seen this 8-point and another good 7-point at the same stand and let them walk, hoping his sister could get a shot at one of them over the weekend. Sunday morning was cool, foggy, and misty rain. We had seen a button buck and a 6-point earlier in the morning. When they left, I hit the rattling horns and a few minutes later went through a grunt sequence. Roughly 5 minutes this 8-point we called HOOKS (because of his brow tines) came in from the left about 125 yards. He slowly moved across the food plot until Walker was able to make an 80-yard shot, and he ran about 30 yards just off the field. He weighed 180 pounds live weight.
