Hunt Story
I had decided that this buck and one other were the two I was chasing this season. This one had come into this plot two days prior at about the same time and was clearly just checking the does in the small plot. So my dad and I hunted the plot each night after that. At about 6:30, there was a doe and a yearling in the plot and I caught this buck sneaking in from the corner to check the doe. He stood facing me for about a minute, but then turned and gave me a clear view of his shoulder. I used the 7mm-08 my parents gave me last Christmas for the first time and he dropped right there in the plot.
