Hunt Story

I was bowhunting on edge of a powerline, back behind me was an alley of woods near the powerline. I was looking through my binoculars on the powerline when I heard something to my back right coming to me. I hurried and try to put my binoculars back in my backpack, and he came trotting in with his nose to the ground. He got to my back left. I stopped him at 18 yards and I had a small hole to shoot through, and I knew it was the only shot I had or let him walk away, so I took the shot. My brother was across the powerline hunting and said the deer ran down the powerline. He said that he saw him run down the edge said he looked like a good deer. He said he cut into the woods back on my side by the swamp, and he said he saw him start stumbling when he went up a little hill. Hunted about two more hours, then my brother and dad met me at my tree. We started tracking him where my brother saw him go into the woods. He was laying no farther than about 20 yards from the powerline. He ran bout 80 to 100 yards from where I shot him. Not only did I harvest that deer, made memories with my family.
