Hunt Story
It’s been a rough year in terms of getting on one of our target bucks. One large ten I was after broke off an entire side just as he started daylighting. I decided to go back to a spot where we had seen Victor (his brow tines look like a V) many times. In fact, the year before I passed on him at 20 yards to give him another year. He has been a regular and daylighted a few times post-rut. My buddy Tyler Dickinson encouraged me to give it a shot on last week of the extended season. He came out at last light, staring at corn pile for 40 minutes before easing out into opening. I made a good shot and he piled up in the nearby creek. So thankful and blessed to have such a great encounter with this deer.
