Hunt Story
Friday September 17th, I got several pictures of a nice buck around a ground blind that I had set up. So the next day I took my 8-year-old son, Tucker, for our first sit of the season. We got in the woods at 4 o'clock to sit until dark. We watched a small 4 point feed around for a little while and then right before dark two nice bucks came in. We watched the bigger buck make a scrape and then he worked his way into 20 yards from us. He was standing broadside and Tucker was able to make the shot! We were both ecstatic that he had just shot such a nice buck. We waited a couple hours before we trailed the blood trail. We were having a hard time finding the buck so we decided to back out and call someone with a tracking dog to meet us first thing the next morning. As soon as we put the dog on the trail he went straight to the buck. We had walked all around him the night before but just couldn't see him due to the tall grass. It turned out great in the end. I couldn't be prouder of my little man!
