Hunt Story
I was just texting a friend that all I had seen was two does right after daylight, and I looked up and the buck was right in the middle of a clearing adjacent to the power line I was hunting. He was approximately 185 yards away. I verified it with my binoculars and then proceeded to shoot it with my 300. After I shot and saw the deer run about 30 yards and drop, I noticed the doe that was with him. His neck wasn't really swollen but his tarsal glands were dark and smelly.
