Hunt Story
I had seen him four days earlier, but he didn’t give me a good shot and he didn’t hang around long and got by me. I first saw him about 75 yards away and he looked at the doe and yearling feeding in front of me. He made a big loop and came in and the doe and yearling ran off. He was quartering to me so I had to wait, he finally moved more broadside and I took the 25-yard shot. The hit looked good and I heard him crashing off. I waited 10 minutes and checked the blood trail and it looked good so I continued on and found him in about 100 yards.
