We've had this deer on trail-camera photos since he was a 2-year-old when I purchased the farm, and I always knew he'd turn into a good buck if he lived, so we decided not to hunt him the first two seasons. This summer he blew up as a 4-year-old and became the number one deer on the shooter list! We watched him grow all summer and then he vanished in mid August for about 3 weeks. When he showed back up the week before bow season, I knew I had to hunt him soon before he potentially disappeared again, so I waited for the right wind and hunted him the first night the wind was right for the stand. A handful of does and young bucks came in early, and about 20 minutes before dark he showed up with his younger 9-point running buddy, and I was lucky enough to have a shot at him at under 25 yards. The arrow flew true, and he went 125 yards and collapsed, the Rage broadhead did its job!
