Hunt Story

I have had many trail-cam pics of this buck since July on a bean field. After beans were cut I finally located him with trail cameras on acorns in the hardwoods. Once rifle season started I moved to an overgrown pasture on the edge of the hardwoods where I felt like he was bedded. I went 14 days without a trail-cam pic. On October 31, I got a pic of him checking a scrape at 1:30 a.m. That afternoon at 6:40 p.m. he came out of a thicket on edge of the field where I feel he was bedded and I shot him. This was the first time I had actually seen the buck. The buck has a 2 1/2-inch point coming out of his forehead so we called him the unicorn buck. Also he had two additional tines that grew on the inside of his G3s that were broken off during the two week period that he was gone.
