Hunt Story
I got into the stand around 3. I had a young 8-point walk out before I even got settled. After he worked off I had a young spike come across the creek and was acting nervous. He was looking up at a ridge, I saw the large-bodied deer walk down and hop the creek. He went into a thicket and popped out about 15 yards behind me. He was wearing out a small cedar tree before he came into my lane. He was less than 40 yards away when I let the shot off. He jumped back over the creek and made it halfway up the ridge before crashing.
