Hunt Story
Got home from work a little later and decided to jump in the woods. Got in the tree a little before 5 pm when 3 does came up from a hardwood bottom to feed. A good buck came from behind and ran into the bottom with the does but I couldn’t tell how big he was. Around 5:40 pm the does came back with the buck behind them. As they fed towards me the buck followed along and got within 25 yards. At that time I drew back and let the arrow fly hitting him a little low behind the front right shoulder. Knowing I hit him lower than I wanted to, we let him lay for over an hour before tracking. He left good blood for over 200 yards when we finally tracked him down. The hoyt coupled with the Muzzy 3-blade 100 grain did the job!
