First hunt on this property this year. Got in the stand at daylight and made a few grunts and rattles every few minutes. After 45 minutes the buck came out of some thick stuff looking for a fight. Glassing the buck I knew he was nice. When he looked directly at me I could see he was wide and tall. I figured he was a tag-out buck. The buck started easing toward a shooting lane. When he made it to the lane I stopped him and shot him in the heart. He ran about 50 yards. Expired with his head up in some vines. Widest deer I have ever harvested at almost 21 inches inside spread.
