I’ve had this buck on camera for the last two years. I never saw him last year but my son in law saw him late season but couldn’t get a shot. He’s been coming to my feeder/foodplot quite frequently but only at night. I started getting a few daytime pics on the 15th and 27th of November. I got in the stand around 3:45 pm on November the 29th and after an hour or so I had 7 does in the field. A nice 8-pointer crossed near the far wood line but never looked at the does. At about 5:40 I saw a tall racked buck come out of the wood line and make a scrape on the edge of the field and he stayed out about 200 yards watching the does. One of the does bolted to my right and he turned and headed to cut her off. At this time she stopped and so did he so I steadied my scope on him and took the shot . He ran back to the wood line where he came out and I heard him crash. I waited about 10 minutes and got down to look for him. He only went about 20 yards into the wood line.
