Hunt Story

I was hunting in a low wooded area between two fields on a low 40s morning. I had a doe and a yearling under me at first light. They stayed in my sight for about 20 minutes before a 6-point joined them. After about 10 more minutes they fed off out of sight. About 10 minutes later a large, mature 9-point came down the drain that I was in. I took a few pictures of him before deciding to shoot. When I shot, he ran off, but I knew he was not going far. About five minutes later a younger 8-point came down the same trail that the 9 had arrived on. After the 8 left, I waited about 10 more minutes and got down. The 9 had run about 120 yards before falling. His G2s and G3s are all over 10 inches long with good mass. It is a nice deer.
