Hunt Story

It was a windy morning with very slow deer movement, and around 10 the wind laid down. A few minutes later I saw this buck trotting away at about 80 plus yards down the food plot. I quickly grabbed my grunt call and made a loud grunt. He heard it and stopped. I grunted a couple more times and he turned and slowly walked directly in front of me. I drew when he walked behind a leafy branch, he then stepped out and stopped at 17 yards. I collected myself then let an arrow fly, and it was true. He ran 30 yards where I watched him stop and then fell over. Fortunately the wind laid down when it did otherwise I doubt he would have heard my call. What a day.
