Hunt Story
This buck has 13 scoreable points with one being a drop tine on the right main beam. He had another small drop tine on the left beam that was broken off. I had this buck on trail camera in August, 2024. I have seen him numerous times on trail camera and twice from the stand; both times he was full speed chasing a doe. After Thanksgiving, my trail cameras showed that he was using my two food plots which are 1/2 mile apart. I guessed the right plot today. Sunset was 5:44 p.m.; dark was 6:14 p.m. He walked out with 6 does and an 8-pointer at 6:05. At 140 yards, I made a good shot with my .270 and he ran 30 yards. My wife was disappointed because she was looking forward to finding his sheds. Sorry, my Dear… I had no choice.
