Hunt Story

The afternoon was hot, clear, with a slight breeze from the south. A cold front was to move through that night. I was in my tower stand at 4:00. I saw two different does with twins and two single does and a button buck. Late in the day, the big 8-point buck moved into my food plot and started harassing the does. After a couple of minutes I got a broadside shot and took it. He dropped where he stood. I first saw this buck on trail cam in early June, 2019. I have pictures of him throughout the summer and fall. It was quite a rush to be able to watch him grow that rack and be able to harvest him. His 8-point rack is 19 3/4 inches wide and has near perfect symmetry.
