Hunt Story

I got settled in my climber at 5:30. At 6:30 I saw the big 6 feeding on acorns at about 45 yards. Before he gave me a shot he eased back into the thicket. At 7:15 I saw a spike come out of the thicket and the 6 pt wasn’t far behind him. As I drew my bow back the spike, which had made his way to about 15 yards from me, busted me. After a long 45 seconds at full draw the 6 pt finally stepped into my shooting lane at 45 yards. When I released the arrow the buck turned and dropped causing the arrow to hit him in the spine. I quickly got another arrow in him and he was dead within a few seconds.
