Hunt Story

I was hunting in a tripod on the edge of a soy bean field that had just been cut. To the right of the field there was a bottom. There were two does about 75 yards from me. I caught them staring at something and when I followed their eyes I saw a buck on the edge of the woods. When I put my cross scope on him I knew that it was the buck I was hunting. We called him "Floppy ears" because his ears were floppy. He went down into the bottom and slowly started walking away from me towards a gravity feeder on the top of the field. Then a group of about 15 hogs came running out of the woods. When this happened, he stops and looks my way and saw the does near me. As soon as he saw them he turns and starts trotting my way. When he gets about 50 yards from me he stops and puts his head down and starts eating. I could not take the shot because his head was facing me. After he stopped eating he looked up and started again walking at the does, and that's when I made the shot. He dropped and was flopping around a bunch so I shot one more time and that finished him. This deer we had had on camera for 3 or 4 years now and was about 6 or 7 years old.
