Hunt Story
I only had a few pictures of this buck and all were an hour after dark. When I got home after work during the week, I’d sit for the last few minutes of shooting light I’d have left. It was very windy and I had convinced myself this buck was not going to come out or already gone. I sat anyway for some reason. Left gun unloaded, window down and played on my phone passing time. Looking up every few minutes. Nothing showed for the first few glimpses up. Third time I looked up, there he was!!! Ten minutes of light left. Shocked and panic hits! My scope isn’t on, gun not loaded and that squeaky window not up. I frantically get all that done in what felt like a split second and took aim. The shot echoed like in a barrel. Listening close I heard him crash. First buck to ever give me the shakes. Maybe it was the panic and surprise. Either way I feel very blessed the good lord decided to send him my way that afternoon. This bucks made the second 10 point taken from my home and holds a special spot in my heart.
