Hunt Story
The buck followed a doe and a fawn from their bedding area. Even though they approached my stand downwind from me, he seemed more interested in what the doe and fawn were doing so it gave me time to get a shot off. I thought the shot was good, but I gave him an hour to be sure. I only had to track for about 40 yards before I found him. I was able to have my wife, son, our dog Eason and my friend Russell join me in tracking and celebrating a successful hunt.
