Hunt Story
Got in stand at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday evening. It was a blistering 92 degrees. Finally got my ThermoCell lit and the mosquitos started to leave me alone. Hour passes by, nothing but a few birds to amuse me then I hear footsteps approaching, and I see him slipping through the swamp 30 yards behind me with no shot. He starts to freshed up a scrape, then turned and heads downwind out of sight. My heart was a pounding so hard I was almost releaved he didn't give me a shot. As I claimed back down, I look over my shoulder and he snuck in on me 22 yards quartering to me. I placed my pin on the crest of his shoulder and sent the Ramcat through his heart and lung he spun around ran 50 yards or so and crashed. I was excited to say the least, my biggest bow-kill to date.
