Hunt Story
I sat in the tree stand till noon and only saw one small buck. When I got down, I changed out the card in the camera and found over 1700 pictures with our "big buck" showing up in the afternoons around 4 to 5 p.m. So after a quick bite of lunch I got back in the stand at 3 p.m. At 4:45 things started happening. Before it was over, I had 5 smaller bucks and 2 does moving all around me. At 5 p.m. the larger buck showed up and was within 17 yards of me for 30 minutes before turning broadside for the shot. It was a perfect shot and he only ran about 50-60 yards. I heard him crash and knew he was dead. We've been watching him for 3 years on the cameras, but we've never had a shot at him.
