We had been busy all day, and realized it was getting dark, so ran in grabbed guns, and ran out to the car to drive to another section of the property in order to sneak past where we usually spot deer. We parked and started sneaking about 200 yards to the back entrance of a homemade deer blind when we saw a doe, her button buck, and then a huge buck standing about 250 yards from them. We snuck up and tried multiple locations in order to get a shot and nothing was working and so we crawled into the back of the deer blind and set me up in a forked tree. We waited for him to raise his head and I had a clear shot, I took it and he ran off into the woods we jumped up and ran over there about 150 yards to find a blood trail. There was no blood trail so we started getting really discouraged until we saw one off in the distance laying down in the swampy area. He saw us got spooked and ran about 50 more yards up until he could not go anymore.
