Decided to hunt this particular stand based on recent trail cam pictures and knowing that it’s always been a good spot during the rut. Got in the stand and got the camera gear set up well before daylight. Just as it was getting bright enough to see I had a smaller buck come in and feed around for a few minutes. Shortly thereafter I caught movement to my left and quickly identified him as a shooter. He came in and gave me a 20 yard shot and the rest is history.
