Hunt Story
I hunted opening day from 1:45 PM until dark and didn't see what I was looking for. Since there would be the right wind Sunday, I decided to hunt again but waited until 3:00 PM and had my husband take me to the stand in our electric buggy. Right before dark, one of the bucks I was hunting showed up. He circled me but I was in a Sad Daddy hunting blind and he never winded me. He couldn't resist the Buck Muscle 30 yards in front of me. When he settled in, I let him have it with my new Ravin! It's this time of year and experiences like this that remind me why my husband and I work year round for these opportunities. My husband rough scored my buck at 147 4/8". Harvesting a mature buck is great, but experiences like this always pulls your family and true friends together and we can't wait to see what the next several months unveil!
