Hunt Story
I got in the woods a little late around 4:00 Shortly after a doe came in to my left, a few minutes Later what I assume was her fawn came in on a different path about 20 sec. After that a buck came in. There was some chasing going on back and forth for about 5 min. Around 5:20 the buck came out in front of me walking the way the doe went. As soon as he turned broadside I took my shot. I made a lung shot. I immediately called my friend and told him I shot a big one. He asked if I saw blood. So I got down and right where I shot him there was blood. I looked up and 20 yards in front of me there he was. I told my friend to come on, he’s down, I needed help pulling him out. He said he could hear the excitement in my voice. Needless to say I’m still grinning. My biggest buck yet.
