Hunt Story
This stand hasn't been hunted all season until Jan. 01 of this deer season. On the first sit, which was an evening sit, I only saw a doe. I went back the next morning arriving later than I anticipated and spooked a deer out near my stand. Awaiting there in the deer stand not really expecting anything, I heard some movement approaching. I got myself ready just in case. Just a couple of minutes later the buck came into sight. I got him in the crosshairs and fired a single shot and watched in run off. I knew I had hit him good. I climbed down from the latter stand to find a blood trail. I followed the blood not far at all and saw him laying on the ground and was expired. I didn't know he was as big as he was until I was standing over him. It has been a long time since harvesting a buck like this for me. Truly thankful!!
