Hunt Story
On Christmas Eve morning, I went hunting with the goal of securing a doe for a friend who wanted some venison. Despite multiple does coming within bow range, the fear of getting busted prevented me from coming to full draw. Then, around 8:30, a lone antlerless deer lingered in the perfect spot to allow me to draw back. However I hesitated a moment to confirm that it wasn’t a button buck. That was when another deer, a definite shooter, emerged. As the shooter buck momentarily stopped behind a tree at 25 yards, I seized the opportunity to draw my bow. The well-placed shot sent him running 50 yards before collapsing.
